Dr. Dingle shares nutritional tips for study
You know, Dr. Peter Dingle was one of the supervisors for my PhD thesis in goal getting - so I mean it when I say that I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for his help! Be assured that there will be plenty of nutritional advice coming to www.enjoyexams.com - in some cases, I believe poor nutrition (particularly in the 24 hours prior to an exam) can potentially account for up to 70% of your score.
Now, I just guestimated that number, but imagine this - on the night before your exam, you eat a crappy meal. And you eat it late at night because you were too busy cramming. Because of the late meal, you didn't sleep well as you had indigestion. You accidentally sleep in, wake up tired, and rush off to your exam, quickly snatching a bit of toast and a coffee. The toast does nothing to calm your tummy, your brain is fuzzy, and you spend half the exam debating whether to go pee out the coffee you scoffed down. Your brain goes in circles and you retreat into a familiar self-sabotage story that will protect you from poor performance - "I didn't feel well."
And thus, because of poor nutrition, you score 70% less than you would have otherwise. Ha!
It's worth paying attention to nutrition!
